Pam Strayer

Praised by Vinography's Alder Yarrow as the "go to person on organic and Biodynamic wines," Pam Strayer is a recognized expert on organic and Biodynamic wines in the U.S. and  has moderated or spoken at consumer and industry events and classes at Healdsburg SHED, community groups in Sonoma and Napa, Santa Rosa  Junior College, Sonoma State University's Wine Business Institute, Bay Grape, the International Biodynamic Wine Conference and Women of the Vine & Spirits.

Pam earned a certificate in wine studies at U.C. Berkeley and has studied wine at U.C. Davis and the North American Sommeliers Association.

Her writings on organic and Biodynamic wines have been featured in  Wines and Vines and Beverage Media as well as Civil Eats

In 2018, Pam was the Conference Program Director for Demeter USA's first International Biodynamic Wine Conference in San Francisco, working with Demeter USA President  Elizabeth Candelario. The conference featured 27 panels and keynotes on a wide variety of topics with 67 speakers, including renowned international participants. The event was the largest gathering of Biodynamic wine professionals in the world.

Seeing the energy that the conference generated, Pam realized that both the organic and Biodynamic wine sectors needed better ways to communicate with each other and the industry, and decided to launch the next wave of Wine Country Geographic publications - newsletters (Organic Wine Insider and Biodynamic Wine Insider) and directories.
